K

usoma Tu has developed a multi-sensory, multi-level phonic based reading scheme that imparts basic reading and writing skills to adolescents, youth and adults. Kusoma Tu learning resources have been developed by a team composed of teachers and curriculum developers who love teaching and have a combined experience of over 50 years. The Kusoma Tu resources are composed of storybooks, workbooks, flash cards, puzzles, games, audio and visual learning resources all contextualized to the African context.

Kusoma Tu uses mostly local resources that are easily available like stick, ropes, clay and beads to introduce letters. It is also multilevel in that learning can be simultaneously carried out by different age groups. The combination of introducing reading through pictures and objects ensures that all learning styles of an individual are well catered for.

We have also developed little stories   which also come in audio and video form. Most of the stories can be dramatized hence reinforcing what sound is being taught. These stories can also be published using local language children characters and story-lines.
